Self Care For Fall
As the seasons change and Fall is upon us, it is still important to keep self-care in mind even when you may not feel like it. It can be easy to get stuck in a rut as sunshine becomes less frequent and temperatures begin to drop. Let’s talk about some of the best ways to continue your self-care into the Fall season!
1) Read A Book
Reading can be one of the most relaxing habits and is a perfect way to practice self-care for Fall. Find a book that you love and cozy up for an hour. This is a great time to turn off electronic devices and enjoy some extra quiet time.
2) Do Yoga
Yoga is a great way to destress and focus on the present moment. Many people love that yoga incorporates a lot of stretching and breathwork. It is also a great way to move your body and is done indoors so it is something you can enjoy no matter what the weather is like outside.
3) Enjoy A Warm Drink
Whether you love tea or a warm cup of hot chocolate, Fall is the perfect time to cozy up and enjoy a warm drink. Sometimes taking 15-20 minutes out of your day to enjoy something small is enough to refresh your mind and allow you to continue through your day. If you want, you can even do this at the end of your day while in bed watching your favorite tv show!
4) Journal
Journaling is a great tool to help ease stress and anxiety. It has been praised by many people in the wellness industry and is part of thousands of people’s self-care routines. You can choose a beautiful notebook and spend only a few minutes each day journaling. It is easy to find journal prompts online or you can choose to just write whatever comes to mind.
5) Go To A Farmers Market
If there is a day with great weather and you have a local farmer’s market then this is the perfect opportunity to spend a few hours outdoors and see what great fruits and vegetables they have to offer. This is a great self care activity to do alone or with someone else!
Self care is one of the most important things you can do and there are so many great activities for self care in the Fall! Whether you try one or all of these, we know it will leave you feeling happier and more relaxed.
